Alpa Depani is an artist and architect based in Homerton.

This photographic series captures architectural characters sited in Homerton. Each image has been hand-printed in Photochats darkroom at Chats Palace – a figure recorded here too with its sober stone façade.

Each black and white portrait conveys a moment of stillness, viewed together they tell something of the history of Homerton giving an order to the grain and texture of this modest London village.
