On Tuesday 6th September, The Palace Club paid a visit to the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow for a guided tour of their latest exhibition, Althea McNish, Colour is Mine. 19 intrepid club members made the journey to the gallery, with many commenting that they had never been before. The guided tour from the curator, Rowan, was excellent and provided a real insight into the history behind the exhibition and the extraordinary achievements of the artist.
After this, we had worked up a real appetite, so were treated to a lunch of sandwiches (and of course) chips in the café in the park.
Thank you to Community Transport Waltham Forest, who transported us to the gallery and back via minibus, our friendly (and very efficient!) driver and the William Morris Gallery for having us!
