There’s a crack in everything. That’s where the light gets in”  Leonard Cohen

a crack is a new Anglo-Greek theatre work about burning issues of today. Ironic, surreal, dark, and funny by turns, in this physically charged dialogue the duet share their anxiety, despair and hope.

a crack speaks of catastrophe, a world that has tilted on its axis. It unflinchingly stares into the abyss whilst fantasising utopia. It expresses a search for meaning, renewal and a way forward into a future. The text lies somewhere between the banality and urgency of social media and the philosophical discourse of Greek tragedy. The performers speak their dreams, their panic, their thirst for change.

a crack is co-created with and performed by two women artists, who each inhabit different and new worlds post Brexit: they are three decades apart in age, one a mother, one a grandmother.
