 On Saturday 10 December 2022, Chats Palace doors are open to offer the wares of local makers, artists and crafters. Ideal for unique Christmas presents!

Who are we? Established in 1976 to provide arts and education opportunities to the local community, Chats Palace is still an inclusive, intergenerational Arts Centre, working with and for the diverse communities of Hackney.

Firmly rooted in Artistic Heritage, Chats Palace has a key role in Hackney’s growing cultural quarter. With that in mind, we are creating the opportunity to introduce other like-minded traders in the area, in an event that will also be benefiting all of us that enjoy shopping small and really just want to try some new beautiful Hackney products!

After the success of our last Makers Market back in 2019 (due to COVID-19), Chats Palace is again bringing the opportunity to the community to discover, support, and celebrate Hackney’s wonderful produce, from both established and emerging small businesses and independent sellers alike.

Shopping local supports our small traders, so that they can keep on creating their beautiful artisan products for us, this also creates more jobs for Hackney, as local traders usually support and trade from other small businesses in the area. Shopping local helps to build our social, vibrant, and diverse community. Let’s get to know each other!
