    Our building will be open for our annual summer celebration event on Sunday 26th July! Join us for the morning or the afternoon - there will be drinks, cakes, and bakes on offer as you explore an exhibition created with members of the Palace Club (our flagship arts and social programme for Hackney-based elders above the age of 65), and get creative with a drop-in art station in our bar.

    East London queer life drawing hosted by Spencer Grimshaw (slpgtattoo), artist and tattoo artist. After moving to London a year ago Spencer found that the life drawing sessions available either didn't feature a diverse range of models, didn't feel like a safe space for queer people or weren't regular enough to create a community so decided to create that space and community of like minded people!
    All abilities are welcome from beginner to experienced! As I will be offering options to be tutored or non-tutored. This is the last session of the year! Materials will be provided however, if there is anything specific that you require please provide this yourself. Every week we will be hosting a diverse range of queer models.

    Drag, circus, clown, burlesque, performance art… Artists representing the widest possible array of styles and disciplines are given two months to develop a new act on a single theme chosen in advance by you, the audience. Gamble is, the artists don't know the theme until they agree to the show… and two months later we gather together to enjoy a night of bold risks, daring experiments, and chaotic cabaret debuts!

    Growing up, Joe Newberry and April Verch absorbed traditions of home and hearth – in his Missouri Ozarks and her Ottawa Valley of Canada. Although they are on the road much of the year, the two musicians are fond of saying that they are rarely homesick, because their music means they always have a bit of home with them wherever they go.
