Murder at the Grange
Christmas morning. A dead man in a locked bedroom in a house full of secrets.
Everybody has a motive.
But who’s got the key?
Murder at the Grange is a Christmas murder mystery in spoken word & song, created by acclaimed songwriter Robb Johnson & performed by Robb & his live band – The Xmas Irregulars. A delightfully dark and different way to celebrate the winter season – this is an Agatha Christie whodunit with a difference. Get your glad rags on and come join us for a cocktail-fueled evening of live music and song from East London’s favorite song-storyteller.
Tickets: £12 in advance/ £15 On The Door
Over 18s only.
Robb Johnson is one of UK’s finest folk singer/songwriters: “An English original”, (Robin Denselow, the Guardian) a “renowned folk-punk” (Time Out). His remarkable song suite Ordinary Giants, told the story of his father’s life and times with contributions from over 30 performers, including award-winning Jazz legend Claire Martin, Justin Sullivan from New Model Army, Tom Robinson, and TUC General secretary Frances O’Grady. Hackney-born Robb has been called one of England’s last genuinely political songwriters.
“One of this country’s most important songwriters (no argument!)” -fROOTS
