Known and loved for her fluidity in dance, depth of emotion and dedication to sharing the essence of Odissi, Sonali Mishra returns to London for a rare one-off performance.

Naari: Honouring The Feminine layers contemporary poetic narrative with classical Indian dance. An original script by Pakistani-American poet and author of To Build a Home Hinnah Mian, frames a dance work that is a tribute to women in their essence, form and feeling. Exploring different facets of womanhood through narration and movement, Sonali and her creative collaborators perform for us Woman all-encompassing in her devotion, compassion, vulnerability, strength and power. She is the embodiment and essence of love.

Hinnah Mian is a Pakistani-American poet who currently lives in West Virginia. Her debut book of poetry, ‘To Build a Home,’ won the Silver Medal in the Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards.She has been sharing her work at @hennapoetry on Instagram.

Sonali Mishra is an Indian-American Odissi dancer, writer, and researcher currently based in Odisha, India. She has performed as a soloist in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Malaysia, and various cities throughout the USA and India. She was presented with the2018 Woman of the Year Award for Arts and Culture by the Parichay Foundation. Sonali is currently based in Odisha, India.
