A Square World, is an honest, touching and quirky piece of theatre for young audiences.

A Square World is a story of friends who enjoy the A same routine day after day. Each day is the same, until an unexpected change is forced upon just one of them. This accidental happening throws everyone into disarray. The friends are suddenly divided into those who can and the one who can’t.

The friends realise their daily routine is no longer as enjoyable as it was and together decide they need to redefine the rules of the square world where they live. By injecting a little fun and chaos they soon discover their lives won’t be square ever again!

A Square World looks at the unfairness of being left out in a world designed for everyone else but yourself.

We take fun seriously. Working nationally and internationally, we create colourful and entertaining children’s shows that challenge exclusion and champion equality. We are generous and playful in how we work. To us, the ‘& Co’ is just as important as the ‘Daryl’.

We bring together a changing team of artists and young people with designers, devisers, dramaturgs, performers, acrobats, musicians, administrators and technicians to tell our stories. Working with young people is great. Every day we get to be surprised and enthused by how they see things and their way of being in the world.

Thank you for booking your tickets to our Saturday Kid’s Club. You will need a separate ticket for each child and adult coming to see this show. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please arrive 30 minutes ahead of the show start time so you have time to clear our Covid-Safe policy and select your seats in the theatre.

Our Library Cafe will be open before and after each show and serving hot and cold drinks as well as Hackney Gelato Ice cream (vegan options available).
