Chats Palace is an iconic East London landmark. Housed in a Grade ll listed building, we have two flexible spaces available for hire for photographic and filming shoots. We pride ourselves on offering an exceptional level of service and have a track-record of successful clients industry-wide, including BBC.
We are located 5 minutes’ walk from Homerton Overground Station with Stratford’s excellent tube and rail links a short journey away.
Chats Palace can be hired for product launches, commercials, film and TV, fashion shows and music videos.
Theatre
Our flexible black-box Theatre space is fully equipped* and fully accessible on the ground floor of the building. The space measures approximately 10.8 by 10.5 meters with a beautiful parquet floor (not sprung), a small stage and separate adjoining dressing room. All seating can be removed to create an open space suitable for workshop auditions.
*technical assistance use of technical equipment may incur a surcharge to cover on-site attendance by House Technician.
Studio
The beautiful dance studio on the first floor has a mirrored wall with plenty of natural light shining in through an Edwardian glass atrium, one of Chats Palace’ heritage features. The studio measures approximately 9.5 meters by 7. 5meters with a semi-spring floor.
Access to portable PA system may be arranged in both spaces.
We can also arrange for various ‘break-out’ or secondary workshop areas (e.g. for costume fittings) should you require them.
Our friendly staff will be on hand to help you get set up and settle in for your rehearsals in this inspiring building.
Full health & safety briefings are given as standard and a trained first-aider is on site at all times.
