Housed in a Grade II-listed building, originally the Homerton Library we have flexible rehearsal/workshop creation-spaces available for hire.

Chats Palace is located 3 minutes walk from Homerton Overground Station (Mildmay Line) (Zone 2) a 14-minute ride from Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line), and 9 minutes from Stratford (Central, Elizabeth & Jubilee Lines).
Conveniently located in Homerton, one of Hackney’s most bustling communities, Chats Palace is a few steps away from famous Chatsworth Road. This means that there are plenty of nearby independent coffee shops, as well as cafes and supermarkets, including a Co-Op.

Theatre
Located on the ground floor of Chats Palace our black-box theatre space is well equipped, has excellent acoustics and is fully accessible. This is an exciting creation space for devising work from research and development and auditions, through to technical production.
Theatre dimensions are 11.7m (L) by 10.5m (W) by 3.7m (H) with a wooden parquet floor, a raised stage, and separate adjoining dressing room. We have a portable PA system and upright piano, plus access to additional sound and lighting equipment facilitated by our House Technician available on request**.
There is parking available and easy access via double-dock doors for loading directly into the Theatre.
Studio
Our rehearsal Studio, with its Edwardian glass atrium, is one of Chats Palace’ most acclaimed heritage features. With such an abundant source of natural light this beautiful space is a inspiring space to work in.
Located on the first floor, accessible via a staircase (no lift), the Studio measures 9.2m (W) by 7.2m (L) by 3m (H), with a laminate floor and a mirrored wall.
An adjacent first floor break-out/meeting space The Blue Room is also available for hire.
Please note the wooden floor is not a sprung floor and may not be suitable for certain dance rehearsals. We encourage you to arrange a site visit before you confirm your hire.
Black-out is not possible in the Studio.
Blue Room
The Vibrant Blue Room at Chats Palace is perfect for meetings, workshops, readings, auditions, interviews or as a breakout space for our Studio.
Located on the first floor, accessible via a staircase (no lift), the Blur Room can me laid as a meeting room or clear floor space. A screen and projector are available.
Black-out is not possible in the Blur Room.
